Ingredients:

  • 500 grams chicken breast or thighs, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

Marinate the Chicken:

  • In a large bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, paprika, vegetable oil, and salt. Add chicken cubes and coat well with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results. Preheat the Grill or Oven:

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grill or Bake the Kababs:

  • For grilling: Thread marinated chicken onto skewers and grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred. For baking: Place marinated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and slightly charred, turning once halfway through. Serve:

  • Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve with lemon wedges.
